Dedicated to the memory of Janet Offer
This page is a tribute to Janet Offer (nee Janet Jones) who was born in Malton, North Yorkshire on 1st October 1944.
The only daughter of Gladys and George Jones.
Janet married Keith on 29 August 1964, at Christchurch Church in Virginia Water. Their wedding reception was held at the Anne
Boleyn public house in Staines. They reached their 60th wedding anniversary in 2024, receiving a congratulatory message from the King and Queen Consort.
Mum was officially diagnosed with mixed vascular dementia /Alzheimer’s in June 2022 and this hateful disease slowly took mum away from us piece by piece, it was utterly heartbreaking to witness.
Mum reached her 80th birthday this year, which was something she always believed would never happen based on family history.
But sadly only we knew about these milestone achievements, as the dementia had stripped her of her ability to comprehend so many things. 😞
Mum’s passing is a loss that will be felt very deeply by us all as a family. We felt this would be a lovely way to collate and record memories and to celebrate her life.
Mum, you will be forever remembered ❤️ and forever missed. 💔 xx
